Weekly Round-up: Moe Monsters, Konoha Casual and Olympic Ambitions

Plus a surprising product featuring Hatsune Miku herself!

Olympic Ambitions - What's a 3-time Olympic medalist to do when she's ready to hang up her swimming cap and climb out of the pool? Well, if you're 21-year-old swimmer Satomi Suzuki, then you're going to become a voice actress. Apparently, she's not only a world-class athelete, but she's also an Olympic-caliber otaku with plans to take the voice acting world by storm upon her return to Japan. Considering she's friends with prolific seiyuu Ryuuzou Ishino, we may soon see her dominate in yet another field of her choice.

Shinobi Swag - The fine folks at Japanese retailer BEAMS must have used "business casual no justu" on their menswear offerings because their line of Naruto-inspired MANGART polo shirts are fandom-tested, workplace-approved. Now you can rock Sasuke's sliced leaf crest on the front, the Mangekyou Sharingan symbol on the sleeve and the Uchiha clan logo on the back. Betraying your entire village has never looked this good.

Momo's Moe-mon - The Pokemon Company used "Moe" on their extensive line of character goods. It's super effective! That's right - Pokemon just got cuter thanks to their stylized "Pokemomo" line of Pokemon-inspired goods designed by Japanese illustrator Momo Okada. Only 5 Pokemon - Pikachu, Plusle, Minun, Gengar and Snorlax - got the makeover treatment, but they'd even melt Gary Oak's icy heart, so fans can rest easy.

Miku Makeover - The announcement that Sony would release a limited edition Hatsune Miku version of its Walkman portable music player is simultaneously the most and least surprising news we've heard in a while. We expect to see Miku's digital smiling face on anything and everything, but who knew that Sony was still making the Walkman? Limited to 3939 units, the digital MP3 player comes pre-installed with a Hatsune Miku wallpaper, a special Vocaloid song and a laser etching of Miku on the back. Truthfully, we're holding out for a Megurine Luka Talkboy.
